Milestones
- I am in Chicago now. We got in very late last night. Our host seems very nice, has a neat apartment, and had the bed all ready for us. As soon as we're dressed we're heading out for marching rehearsal.
- I didn't sign up for the 5K, which is OK because with all the rehearsals it might have been extremely stressful to try and actually do an athletic event. I've been running about 2x/week, which is a good start, and I think I'm improving.
- Tuesday I moved the last of my boxes into Heidi's house, so now we are officially living together. We are both pretty happy about it, except for my boxes being all over the place.
- I just got an email that my application for the 1-year Master's program in the UK was accepted. Now I just have to figure out if this is really a good idea and then all the logistical things.
- Ok, time to find my toothbrush and soap and the new shorts I got on Clearance!!! at Old Navy. (Old Navy is my weekspot; I can walk by a Starbucks without blinking, but I can go to 3 stores and get frustrated with clothes and then walk into Old Navy and find just what I need and it's cheaper. On the good side, I did find items made in India and Cambodia, and you may not know this, but Cambodia has excellent labor practices in its garment industry: see this link (go to archives, 2005, episode 303)
