Ok, that was weird.

For the third time in a couple of weeks, I had a dream in which the location was realistic. Usually in dreams, I know what the setting is (e.g. school, home, someone's house, a museum etc.), but the way it looks or is laid out in the dream is entirely unlike the way it is in real life. So for example, in a usual dream, I might know I'm at Sterling High School, but when I wake up I realize that the high school building in the dream looked nothing like the actual Sterling High School.

But in these new dreams, the settings/locations look and seem just like the real ones. How weird is that? I wonder what the difference is. Any ideas or info, anyone?

This is just sad:

Singapore Doctors Find SARS in Teardrops

The finding — published in the current issue of the British Journal of Ophthalmology — may also highlight one of the ways that severe acute respiratory syndrome spreads, they said.
...........
But the discovery of the virus in tears also poses a risk to health care workers, the study found.
...........
Detecting viruses in teardrops is not new.
Chicken pox and two strains of hepatitis were among the diseases that have been found in tear ducts, the doctors said

Of all the intimate things two people could do together, you'd figure that at least crying and hugging would be safe. But no.

Is nothing sacred, then? I mean, I know there's a certain level of risk involved in intimacy anyway, especially crying. I just didn't think hepatitis was a part of that risk.

Been back in Berkeley for a few days now. Only today got a chance to give Anna and Caitlin their little souvenirs from "Star Trek: The Experience." Anna goes to bed early now that she has a job. They declined to see my photos from Vegas, but seemed to like their presents, to my happiness and relief. Also, Anna had hand-decorated a picture frame with a picture of a bunch of us at Special Dinner as a graduation present for me. It's very nice; I was touched. Also, it's a good photo. My hair looks good, my eyes are neither red nor closed, and I don't have a goofy/unprepared expression. All good news.

Maybe someday I'll post those mono fun facts and/or my Friday 5 from last week. Don't hold your breath, though.
